Terms of Use

Effective date: September 21, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sloŭca mobile application and related services (“Sloŭca” or the “Service”). The Service is provided by Tsimur Mashara, Herbu Oksza 25, 02-495 Warsaw, Poland(“we”, “us”).

Apple and the App Store

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Sloŭca and its content, maintenance, support and any claims relating to it.

Your use of Sloŭca must also comply with the App Store’s Usage Rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Sloŭca. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

The Service

Sloŭca is a vocabulary-learning tool that allows users to capture, save, organize and practise words and related learning content.

Features may change, be added or be removed as the Service develops.

Your Account

An account, created with Sign in with Apple or Google, is required to use Sloŭca.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Sloŭca. If you are under the age of majority or the age of digital consent in your country, you may use Sloŭca only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your account and for activity performed through it. You agree not to misuse another person’s account or identity.

You may delete your account at any time in Sloŭca under Settings → Manage account → Delete account.

Free and Pro Features

Sloŭca provides both free and paid features. Some features and usage limits require a Sloŭca Pro subscription.

We may change which features are included in the free or paid versions of Sloŭca. Changes will not remove access to a paid subscription period already purchased, except where necessary to comply with law, protect the Service, or address technical or security issues.

Sloŭca Pro Subscriptions

Sloŭca Pro is an automatically renewing subscription, available monthly or annually and purchased through Apple’s App Store. The price and billing period are displayed before purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

The subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the same price, unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.

Any free trial or introductory offer will be described before purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to the paid subscription shown at checkout. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting your Sloŭca account does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not normally provide a refund for the rest of the current billing period, except where required by applicable law or Apple’s policies.

Purchases can be restored using the Restore purchase option in Sloŭca’s settings.

Billing and refunds for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms.

Your Content

You may create or store words, translations, collections and other content in Sloŭca (“User Content”).

You keep ownership of the User Content you create. You grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process, store, display and synchronize that content, solely as required to operate the Service.

You are responsible for making sure that content you add to Sloŭca does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

Definitions, examples and translations generated by Sloŭca are not User Content. They may be stored in a shared dictionary and shown to other users. They are never linked to your account.

Shared Content

You can share a collection with others through a link. Anyone with the link can view the collection and add it to their Sloŭca account. They cannot edit it, but they can duplicate it or add individual words to their own vocabulary.

A shared collection that belongs to another user may become unavailable if the owner deletes it or their account. If you want to keep your own copy, use the duplicate option.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • – use Sloŭca for unlawful purposes;
  • – attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or another user's account;
  • – interfere with or disrupt Sloŭca's infrastructure;
  • – use automated systems to abuse, scrape, overload or improperly access the Service;
  • – upload malicious code or content;
  • – use Sloŭca in a way that infringes another person's intellectual property or other rights;
  • – attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions, usage limits or other technical limitations;
  • – reverse-engineer Sloŭca, except where applicable law permits.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations or material violations of these Terms.

Educational and AI-Generated Content

Sloŭca is designed to support vocabulary learning.

Definitions, examples, translations and other word information in Sloŭca are generated automatically by an artificial-intelligence model provided by a third party (Google Gemini). When you capture a word by voice, your recording is sent to that model for processing. It is not stored by us.

This content may contain errors, and may not be appropriate in every linguistic or cultural context. Sloŭca does not guarantee that learning content is complete, error-free, or suitable for a particular examination, professional purpose or educational outcome. You can report incorrect content from within the app.

Intellectual Property

Except for User Content, Sloŭca and its software, branding, design, functionality, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Tsimur Mashara, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sloŭca on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Sloŭca or its intellectual property.

Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Sloŭca available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, technical, legal or product-development reasons. We will give reasonable advance notice of significant changes that affect paid features.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sloŭca is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no guarantees about specific learning results, uninterrupted availability, or the accuracy of generated, translated or educational content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tsimur Mashara will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or similar damages, or for loss of data, resulting from your use of or inability to use Sloŭca.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or where such a limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Sloŭca at any time and may delete your account in the app.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service or create security risks, or where required by law.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when Sloŭca, applicable law or our business practices change.

We will notify you in the app of material changes before they take effect. Continued use of Sloŭca after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
